Duties
Provide responsive care during hospital discharges, emergencies, and care package breakdownsDeliver personalized, nurse-led care to clients with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, locked-in syndrome, rehabilitation, and motor neurone diseaseAssist with washing, dressing, eating, and toiletingSupport safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movementKeep clinical skills current through training and awareness of developments in care practicesMaintain a calm and professional approach in challenging or high-pressure situationsTravel to clients’ homes and other locations as directed by the company
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in a care environment or a similar role
- Resilience to stay calm and professional during challenging situations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including CQC standards, health and safety
- Experience supporting clients with complex needs (desirable)
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Satisfactory onboarding checks, including DBS, references, availability, and induction
- Availability must remain consistent throughout employment
- Flexibility to work rotational days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
- Ability to travel to clients’ homes and other locations as required
