Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity in the Cranbrook area?
The Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the relevant secondary age groups. You will inspire students to develop their creativity, practical skills and understanding of Design & Technology while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
You will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons.
- Teach across the relevant secondary year groups and abilities.
- Develop students’ practical, creative and technical skills.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Follow the school’s curriculum, policies and expectations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the DT department and wider school.
The Ideal DT Teacher
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
- Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT.
- Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons.
- Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be able to engage and motivate students of different abilities.
- Be reliable, professional and adaptable.
- Be available to commit to the role through to December 2026.
