Your new company Our client is a well-established maintenance contractor delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services across the South Down area. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Joiner to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role As a Maintenance Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work within occupied and void domestic properties. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to tenants and clients.Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality service to tenants within occupied and void domestic properties.
- Capture and communicate additional work using the company PDA system.
- Complete jobs within allocated timeframes and ensure target dates are met.
- Work in compliance with materials and workmanship schedules.
- Maintain and care for company tools and equipment.
- Use appropriate PPE and adhere to all health and safety procedures.
- Ensure work areas are clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Take responsibility for the company van in accordance with company policy.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, contract administrators, tenants, and head office personnel.
- Take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
- Coordinate materials and manage stock control effectively.
- Complete all site-based documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with the training and development of apprentices as required.
What you’ll need to succeed Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 Joinery (or equivalent).
- Valid CSR Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience within a maintenance joinery environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Desirable
- Experience working within social housing or domestic maintenance.
- Experience using PDA/mobile workflow systems.
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
