Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and repairing vehiclesand trailers.The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles.

Job Role:

• Conduct comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the equipment.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and maintenance in all tasks and operations.
• Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our company.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and service history.
• Utilise strong mechanical skills to ensure precision and reliability in all aspects of the job.
• Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in maintaining the quality and performance of equipment.
• Work seamlessly as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications for mechanic:

• City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC, or NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair (or an equivalent qualification), or demonstrable equivalent experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
• Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV trucks and trailers.
• Practical knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment/techniques.
• Computer literate.
• Full, valid driving license (HGV license preferable but not essential).
• Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• High level of enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a can-do attitude.
• Good all-round mechanical skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of electrics, electronics, and hydraulics is an advantage.
