With strong investment in place and exciting growth plans ahead, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage in its journey.This is a broad and hands-on role offering excellent exposure across core financial accounting responsibilities, while also giving the successful candidate the chance to play a key part in improving processes and supporting the development of a robust finance function in a rapidly evolving environment.The role is predominantly home-based, with travel to a site in North Yorkshire approximately once every two weeks.
The Role
Reporting into the finance leadership team, the Financial Accountant will support a wide range of responsibilities, including:Month-end and year-end close activitiesFinancial reporting and statutory accountingCompliance, controls and governanceTransactional accounting oversightBalance sheet reconciliationsSupporting audit processesIdentifying and driving process improvement opportunitiesAssisting the business as it scales and finance processes evolve
About You
The ideal candidate will be newly qualified and looking for an opportunity where they can make a genuine impact within a growing business.You will likely have:A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMAStrong financial accounting knowledgeExperience supporting month-end and year-end processesAn understanding of financial reporting, compliance and controlsA proactive, inquisitive mindsetThe confidence to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environmentA willingness to get involved, ask questions and continuously improve processes
