Due to continued growth and ambitious strategic plans, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join the organisation’s leadership team and play a key role in shaping its financial future.
Your new role
- Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team to deliver a high-performing and collaborative service.
- Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, including purchase ledger, payroll, cash flow management and reconciliations.
- Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Producing monthly management accounts and presenting financial performance reports to senior stakeholders.
- Delivering budget monitoring reports, variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making.
- Managing reporting requirements for a range of funding streams and ensuring compliance with funding conditions.
- Supporting external audit processes and maintaining strong relationships with auditors and key stakeholders.
- Reviewing and enhancing financial systems, controls and processes to improve efficiency and governance.
- Identifying potential financial risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting expertise.
- Excellent financial control and compliance knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
