RoleOverview
We are looking for anexperienced Senior E-Trading Developer to help us build a brand-newelectronic trading platform from the ground up. You will workdirectly with traders to create fast and reliable systems for thetrading floor. You will handle the entire software process usingmodern tools—from asking the traders exactly what they need, towriting and launching the final, high-speedcode.
KeySkills:
CoreEngineering: 10+ years of professional softwareengineering experience, primarily focused on low-latencyJava.
DomainExpertise: Deep understanding of theRates asset class and ElectronicTrading. (Note: Exceptional candidates with an Equitiesor Credit background will be considered, but a Rates expert ishighlypreferred).
Environment:Proven track record working within a Tier 1 investment bank ortop-tier buy-sidefirm.
TechStack: Strong hands-on experience withJava,Spring, and modern deploymentecosystems (Containers /Kubernetes).
Communication:Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to speak thelanguage of traders, understand their workflows, and push back orguide technical requirements whennecessary.
PreferredSkills:
Experienceworking with KDB or similarhigh-performance/time-seriesdatabases.
Strong knowledgeof RFQ (Request for Quote) workflowsand algorithmic trading principles, which will be highly beneficialwhen interacting with the tradingdesk.
KeyResponsibilities:
GreenfieldBuild-Out: Design, develop, and implement corecomponents of the new Rates1 electronic tradingstack.
StakeholderCollaboration: Sit close to the business,continuously eliciting requirements directly from traders tounderstand their needs and translating them into technicaldeliverables.
PerformanceOptimization: Write latency-sensitive code operatingin the millisecond-to-microsecond range (low latency, though notultra-low/HFTcontingent).
SystemArchitecture: Leverage modern containerizedenvironments and high-performance databases to ensure platformstability andscale.
Long-termDelivery: Act as a stable, driving force behind thismulti-year rebuild, ensuring consistent delivery of high-qualitysoftware.
