Are you an experienced IT professional who loves turning plans into reality? At KJL Group, we deliver cutting-edge IT solutions across the UK, supporting clients in industries ranging from automotive to finance. We’re now looking for a skilled IT Project Engineer to join our projects team, driving forward the successful delivery of infrastructure, networking, and cloud projects.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys variety, and has the technical expertise to deliver projects from design to implementation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and deliver a range of IT infrastructure and cloud projects from start to finish
- Work closely with clients to understand requirements, scope solutions, and provide technical consultancy
- Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, and Server environments
- Implement networking solutions (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Switches, VPNs)
- Manage virtualisation platforms (VMware, HyperV)
- Ensure project delivery is on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
- Collaborate with colleagues across support and engineering teams to provide smooth handovers
What You Bring
Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and project delivery
- Hands on experience with:
Microsoft 365 / Azure deployment and migrations
Sharepoint setup & administrative exposure
Active Directory and Windows Server administration
Networking (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, switches, routers)
Virtualisation technologies (VMware / Hyper-V)
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Confidence in working directly with clients at all levels
- Desirable certifications: Microsoft, Cisco, Prince2, ITIL
Your ExperienceYou’ve successfully delivered IT projects in a client-facing role, ideally within a managed service provider (MSP) or similar fast-paced environment. You’re equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team and have a track record of delivering solutions that add real value to businesses.
- Hours: Mon–Fri 08:30–17:00
- Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays

FlexibilityThis is offered as a hybrid role (after probation), you will spend time at our Basildon HQ, on client sites, and working remotely. No two days will be the same, and you’ll be trusted with the autonomy to make projects happen.
