This is your opportunity to join a leading commercial construction company who due to continued success are seeking for a Construction Buyer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis

Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will

• Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials
• Manage the delivery of all material & plant to site
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, other construction professionals including site operatives.
• Identify and select reliable suppliers / contractors for live projects
• Ensuring all materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
• Work to ensure all supplier invoices are cleared for payment in a timely manner
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure all paperwork is up to date,
• Other adhoc duties

About you

• + 2 years of procurement, sourcing or buying experience in construction sector.
• Proven track record in negotiating high-value contracts and cost reduction strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
