This well-established main contractor operates across the UK and Ireland, specialising in major construction projects valued at £20M+. With a large and dedicated team, they work across various sectors, employing the latest technologies in design and construction. They are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability, maintaining a strong reputation for delivering complex teamed projects nationwide. The successful candidate will report to the Contracts/Project Director within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
About you
- A Degree or HND in construction-related disciplines (desirable but not essential)
- Proven track record managing projects over £20M as a main contractor
- Extensive knowledge of design coordination, procurement, and health & safety practices
- Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and sub-contractors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- IT proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Flexibility to work across UK & Ireland sites; valid work permit or right to work in the UK is essential
What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate all project disciplines from inception to completion in collaboration with site teams
- Manage design, procurement, sub-contractors, and direct labour workforce to ensure project delivery to scope, quality, and schedule
- Act as the primary interface with clients, government bodies, and third parties
- Develop and manage project programmes, risk registers, and ensure health & safety compliance
- Oversee site surveys, design management, and project reporting to stakeholders
- Work closely with the commercial team on procurement, budgeting, and tender processes
