This well-established main contractor operates within the commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors, managing projects ranging from £10M to over £100M. With a strong presence across London, Scotland, and the Midlands, they boast a collaborative work culture led by experienced senior management. They work with the latest construction technologies and prioritise safety, sustainability, and innovation, making them a leader in their field. .
About you
- Proven experience managing £20M+ projects within a main contracting environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of design coordination, procurement, and surveying
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant construction-related qualification (Degree/HND desirable but not essential)
- In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory requirements
- IT proficient with Microsoft Office suite
What you’ll do
- Provide strategic leadership to multiple construction projects across different sites, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
- Act as the primary interface for clients, government officials, and project teams
- Oversee design coordination, site surveys, and feasibility assessments
- Manage sub-contractors and direct labour to optimise productivity and profitability
- Monitor project progress, produce detailed reports, and implement remedial actions when necessary
- Coach and develop staff to promote continuous improvement and skill advancement
