Estimator
Location: Newry, Co. Down
The Role
We are working with a leading construction contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their commercial and pre-construction team in Newry.
You’ll work alongside an established team comprising Quantity Surveyors, HLA’s and senior estimating support, playing a key role in preparing competitive and commercially sound tenders for a diverse project portfolio.

You Will Be Responsible For:
- Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects.
- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
- Completing detailed take-offs and preparing pricing.
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and consultants.
- Assisting with tender submissions and post-tender negotiations.
- Working closely with the wider commercial and pre-construction team.
What You Will Need:
- Previous experience working as an Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and costs.
- Experience pricing construction projects from drawings and specifications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight tender deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
