Your new company n An established charity based in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a purpose-driven organisation, supporting key operational and governance functions. An immediate start is preferred.Your new role n As Senior Administration Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and governance support to senior leaders and committees, helping to ensure the smooth running of organisational processes. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to senior management and wider organisational teams.
  • n

  • Coordinating meetings for senior leaders, Board members and committees, including scheduling, agendas, papers and follow-up actions.
  • n

  • Supporting governance activities by maintaining accurate records, updating policies and ensuring key documentation is up to date.
  • n

  • Managing organisational databases, filing systems and confidential records, ensuring information is maintained accurately.
  • n

  • Preparing reports, correspondence, presentations and other business-critical documentation.
  • n

  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • n

  • Reviewing administrative processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • n

What you'll need to succeed

n

    n

  • Previous experience in a senior administrative, executive support, or governance-focused role.
  • n

  • Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or senior leadership teams is highly desirable.
  • n

  • Excellent organisational, communication and minute-taking skills.
  • n

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • n

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • n

  • A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • n
