Cammach are delighted to be recruiting for a Revenue Accountant to join our client’s Aberdeen-based team on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a key finance role, with the added flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.

ROLE

n

Deliver accurate and timely production, revenue and inventory information.

n

RESPONSIBILITIES

n

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:   

n

    n

  • Provide high-quality management information
  • n

  • Deliver high quality and timely financial and management reporting
  • n

  • Encourage the development of reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
  • n

  • Support business strategy and deliver objectives, performance and growth
  • n

  • Support external audit process
  • n

  • Work closely with other functions to ensure effective relationships and business delivery
  • n

n

Direct Revenue & Production Support

n

    n

  • Ensure complete and accurate accounting and reporting of hydrocarbon revenue, stocks and over / underlift across all operated and non-operated assets
  • n

  • Ensure all invoices prepared and issued correctly and timely
  • n

  • Confirm self-bill invoices consistent with expectations and recorded in Finance System
  • n

  • Ensure account reconciliations and variance analysis provide appropriate control environment and reporting to management
  • n

  • Manage and prepare monthly accounting and reporting ensuring adherence to accounting policies, best practice and recommended industry accounting practice
  • n

  • Ensure continual improvement and enhancement of the accounting and reporting processes
  • n

  • Assist in the development of reporting systems driving automation wherever possible
  • n

  • Deliver weekly cash forecast to Treasury on receipts
  • n

  • Support Tax on preparation of PRT returns
  • n

  • Input to annual budget and plan process with the business and functions
  • n

  • Ensure good relationship with external stakeholders
  • n

n

Other Activities

  • Support Group initiatives/projects, as required
  • n

  • Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager
  • n

  • ER Allowance – The postholder may be required to join the emergency response rota should this become a requirement of the position.
  • n

REQUIREMENTS

n

    n

  • Degree qualified and with recognised accounting qualification ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • n

  • Experience of revenue and production accounting and reporting within upstream oil and gas industry is essential
  • n

  • UK North Sea experience required
  • n

  • Excellent accountant with proven track record
  • n

  • Strong analytical skills
  • n

  • Experience of Financial Systems
  • n

  • Strong MS Office skills
  • n

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at interacting with individuals at all levels in the organisation
  • n

  • Focus on service delivery to business and functions
  • n

  • Flexible and responsive to stakeholder requirements and changing environment
  • n

  • Ability to deliver high-quality work by deadlines and work effectively under time pressure
