PrioryElm Park – Ardleigh, near Colchester, Essex – is a specialist braininjury service based in Ardleigh, near Colchester, Essex. Weprovide expert neurobehavioral assessment, rehabilitation andspecialist care for people with complex neurological needsfollowing an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI). This is a 17 bedservice.
We are entering an exciting new chapter asour service transitions from a hospital setting to a SpecialistResidential Nursing Service, designed to meet the increasing demandfor high-quality neurorehabilitation and specialist residentialcare within the local community.
What you’ll bedoing
We are seeking an experiencedand dynamic Home Manager who is NMC registered (RGN, RMN or RNLD)and has a proven track record of successfully leading a residentialnursing service. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotalrole in shaping the future of Elm Park, leading the transitionwhile ensuring exceptional standards of care and operationalexcellence.
About theRole:
Asthe CQC Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibilityfor the leadership, performance and day-to-day management of theservice. Working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) andsenior leadership, you will lead the transition from hospital tospecialist residential nursing, ensuring the service continues todeliver outstanding, person-centred care throughout the change.This role requires an experienced leader who is passionate aboutdelivering high-quality care, developing teams, driving continuousimprovement and creating an environment where both residents andcolleagues can thrive.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Lead and support the successfultransition of the service from a hospital environment to aSpecialist Residential Nursing Service.
- Provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership,promoting a culture of dignity, respect, inclusion and continuousimprovement.
- Ensure the home operates in fullcompliance with CQC regulations, legislation, health and safetyrequirements and organisational policies.
- Takeoverall responsibility for quality, governance, compliance, budgetsand operational performance.
- Workcollaboratively with the MDT to deliver safe, effective andperson-centred care that enables residents to achieve theirrehabilitation goals and maximise independence.
- Oversee care planning, clinical documentation and nursingrecords, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bestpractice.
- Recruit, develop and retain ahigh-performing team through coaching, mentoring, supervision andongoing professional development.
- Driveinnovation and service improvement, ensuring the home continues tomeet the changing needs of individuals with complex neurologicalconditions.
- Build positive relationships withresidents, families, commissioners and external stakeholders topromote excellent outcomes and service reputation.
What you’ll bring to therole
To be successful in this role,you will have:
- Current NMC registration (RGN, RMN or RNLD).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or HomeManager within a residential nursing or specialist caresetting.
- Demonstrable experience of managingCQC-regulated services with a strong understanding of regulatorycompliance and quality standards.
- Experienceleading organisational change or service development, ideallyincluding service transitions.
- Excellentleadership, communication and people management skills with theability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Strongfinancial and operational management experience.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional,person-centred care for people with complex neurologicalneeds.
- A proactive, resilient andsolutions-focused approach with the ability to lead confidentlythrough change.
