Corporate Tax Advisory & Transactions – Associate Director

At a Glance

  • Belfast, hybrid working available
  • Genuine international exposure, particularly US-facing work

About the Company

A large, global professional services practice with a genuinely fast-growing Belfast operation, increasingly recognised as one of the standout growth stories in the local market. Whilst remaining firmly rooted as a firm doing exciting work across NI and ROI, the firm has grown massively in recent years on the international front, with a growing volume of work carrying a significant international reach, particularly from a US perspective. This is a firm building genuine scale and depth while still very much invested in its local market presence.

The Role

A senior advisory role within a growing Corporate Tax Advisory and Transactions team, leading complex restructures, shareholder exits and cross-border transaction work. With the client portfolio increasingly weighted towards US and international transactions, this role offers exposure well beyond what’s typically available in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advisory engagements on corporate restructures, shareholder exits and complex transactions
  • Take a senior role in tax due diligence on corporate transactions, advising on risk, exposure and structuring
  • Advise on international tax structuring, including withholding taxes, debt financing and cross-border group structures
  • Build and develop relationships with international teams and referral networks
  • Play a leading role in developing junior team members as the team scales

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification
  • Significant corporate tax advisory or transactions experience
  • Track record managing complex client relationships at a senior level

Desirable:

  • Experience with US-inbound or international transactions
  • Existing network or referral relationships supporting international deal flow

Why Apply

  • Serious, sustained exposure to US and international transactions
  • Clearly defined progression beyond Associate Director
  • Flexible hybrid working
