Job Description

Our client, a leading children’s charity, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their new home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, helping vulnerable children and young people develop resilience, independence, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Building trusting, nurturing relationships to promote the wellbeing and independence of children and young people.
• Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support each child’s individual needs.
• Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Accurately documenting information and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
• Promoting a safe, protective environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence.
• The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
• A genuine motivation to support children and young people facing risks such as exploitation.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
