Quality Manager

Southend-on-Sea – Up to £65K DOE 4-Day Working Week

As the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in driving quality performance across the business whilst supporting production, customers and regulatory requirements. This is a highly varied position where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Creating, reviewing and approving FAIRs and LAIRs.
• Supporting and administering VisualFAIR documentation.
• Planning and conducting internal audits.
• Supporting customer and external audits.
• Managing calibration, testing and qualification activities.
• Leading and supporting a small team of skilled inspectors.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participating in management review meetings and supporting wider business objectives.

Required skills

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and quality requirements.
• Experience completing and approving FAIRs.
• Internal audit experience.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or team management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage changing priorities within a busy manufacturing environment.

Package

• Up to £65k -dependent on experience
• 4-day working week
• Monday to Thursday, 06:45am – 4:30pm
• 37-hour working week
• 16 days annual leave based on a 4-day working week (equivalent to 20 days for a standard 5-day week)
