Instrument Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance activities, shutdowns, and planning.
• Work across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Use CMMS systems to plan, prioritise, and track work.
• Support plant improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety requirements.
• Support reporting, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Drive maintenance performance, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Background in instrumentation or electrical, NVQ/apprenticeship level.
• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance – mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation.
• Experience in energy, process, or industrial environments.
• Understanding of ATEX/DSEAR and hazardous area requirements.
• Experience with shutdowns, maintenance planning, and CMMS systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
