Priory Hospital Bristol hasan opportunity for a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse to joinour team on our mixed Acute ward. We have an exciting opportunityto join our brand-new mixed acute ward at Priory Bristol. Priory Hospital Bristol, Stapleton, Bristolis a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service forindividuals, families and couples. It provides fast access totreatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions. Itis accessible by public transport, with local bus routes servingStapleton and Bristol Parkway railway station approximately 2–3miles from the hospital.
What you’llbe doing
You will be part of acompassionate team that is committed to supporting people’swellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapiesto help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier,more fulfilling future.
Provide high-quality,person-centred nursing care by assessing, planning, delivering andregularly reviewing care plans in partnership with patients,families and carers. Work collaboratively with themultidisciplinary team and external professionals, communicateeffectively, and accurately document and escalate concerns relatingto patient wellbeing, incidents or staffing. Take responsibility asNurse in Charge, Bed Manager or Site Coordinator when required,prioritising and delegating duties appropriately while maintaininga safe environment. Support and supervise junior, agency andstudent nurses, contribute to clinical governance and qualityimprovement, and maintain professional development throughmandatory training, supervision and reflective practice. Ensurecompliance with safeguarding procedures, the Mental Capacity Act,Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, medicines management, companypolicies and the NMC Code, while responding appropriately tochallenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes for patients.

What you’ll bringto the role
Essentialfor therole
- QualifiedRegistered Adult Nurse with 6-12 months post registrationexperience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorshipor equivalentprogramme.
Thefollowing experience would bebeneficial
- Minimum6-12 months post registration experience within MentalHealth/Learning Disability Nursing with evidence of continuedprofessional development in relevantfield.
