£700-£900 Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Company)

New Directions are currently recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher to work in a welcoming primary school based in Salford, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time, temporary role.

The Role:

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across the full Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will play an important role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school and ensuring they are making strong academic and personal progress.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting them to reach their full potential.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and parents where required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Must hold QTS.
• Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Able to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
