JobDescription:
This role involvesexecuting complexhardware design tasks in line with the agreed development plan,ensuring delivery within defined timescales and budgets. You willwork within established engineering processes and hardwarestandards, contributing to high‑quality, reliable design outputs.Strong analytical capability and astructured approach to problem‑solving are essential.
In addition, you will lead hardware requirementscapture, preliminary design, and detailed design activities,carrying out a range of analysis tasks to validatetechnical decisions.The role encourages aninnovative mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance designefficiency and improve working practices.
Core duties:
- Working with other disciplines within anintegrated team to optimise solutions and minimise impacts fromdependencies
- Providing technical guidance andsupport to the development and delivery of all aspects of digital&/or analogue electronics solutions
- Coaching & developing the skills of junior teammembers
EssentialSkills:
- A Degree/HNDor equivalent experience in electronics engineering
- Provenknowledge and experience of digital &/or analogue electronicstechnologies
- Experience of working through theengineering development lifecycle, from concept to productcertification (Such as DO-254)
- Ability todemonstrate a good appreciation of cost and schedule constraints ondesigns, to meet programme needs
- Robustunderstanding of product design and work package control
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise,Simetrix, LT Spice tools

As a Senior/ PrincipalHardware Engineer you will be working as part of amultidisciplinary team to formulate and optimise innovativehardware engineering solutions, for products such as Helmet Mounted& Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors, and otherassociated safety-critical technology.
