An established civil engineering and utilities contractor is recruiting aSite Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to support water infrastructure projects across Dublin and the surrounding counties.
With a pipeline of work spanningfive years or more, this opportunity offers long-term project continuity, varied technical experience and a clear route to progress.

The job in a nutshell:
Youll make sure works are accurately set out, built to specification and supported by clear site records. Working closely with the Site Agent, Project Manager and site teams, youll help keep delivery safe, efficient and on programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out setting out and surveying using total station and GPS equipment.
- Interpreting technical drawings and checking works against design requirements.
- Supporting watermain installation, pipeline, sewer and drainage works.
- Assisting site management with day-to-day coordination.
- Monitoring progress and flagging technical issues early.
- Checking quality and maintaining accurate as-built records.
- Liaising with subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensuring works follow project health and safety requirements.
Should you apply?
If youre aSite Engineer or Setting Out Engineer with a civils or utilities background, confident using surveying equipment and comfortable working from technical drawings, this is worth a conversation.
Youll need:
- Proven setting out experience usingtotal station / GPS equipment.
- Experience on civil engineering or utilities projects.
- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Afull, clean driving licence.
- The ability tocommute to Dublin-area sites daily.
Experience on water infrastructure frameworks, watermain installations, drainage or reinstatement works would be particularly valuable. A Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent is desirable.
