The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join a busy and professional automotive workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vehicle technician who is passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
Working as part of a supportive Aftersales team, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work to a high standard.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and accurately.
- Follow manufacturer and workshop procedures at all times.
- Support workshop productivity and help maximise efficiency.
- Liaise with customers when required, providing professional technical guidance.
- Assist and support less experienced technicians.
- Attend training programmes to maintain and develop technical skills.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Ensure all health and safety, environmental and COSHH regulations are followed.
- Contribute positively to the wider workshop and dealership team.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Automotive Technician.
- Recognised automotive qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent).
- MOT Tester qualification.
- Experience working within a franchised dealership environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
- Proven commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
