MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC
Location: Southampton
Salary: £34,000 – £37,500 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial rental vehicles
- Inspecting vehicle systems and components to ensure they are safe and operating correctly
- Identifying worn or defective components and carrying out repairs or replacement
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and accurately
- Test driving vehicles where appropriate and where the correct driving licence is held
- Accurately recording all work completed on the relevant computer systems
- Completing paperwork and job handovers to the Workshop Manager / Lead Technician
- Ensuring vehicles are left in a safe and roadworthy condition
- Working safely and maintaining high workshop standards
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicles
- Full UK, Irish or EU Class C or CE manual driving licence
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- A proactive and detail-focused approach
- Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work
- A genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and developing their technical skills
