Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Devizes Up to £45,000 per annum

We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join an established maintenance team supporting a busy precision engineering manufacturing environment. Working across two sites, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of equipment, including CNC lathes, machining centres and bespoke in-house machinery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Supporting the reliability and performance of production machinery.
• Working closely with electrical engineers and production teams.
• Recording maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
• Assisting with continuous improvement activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing or production machinery.
• Multi-skilled or electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
• Experience with CNC machinery would be highly desirable, particularly multi-spindle lathes.

  • 6am – 2pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
