Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher looking for a new full-time opportunity this September?
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established college in Halton to recruit an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their successful team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Maths Teacher to teach GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths to post-16 learners in a supportive and well-resourced learning environment. The college has a strong reputation for helping students achieve their academic goals and offers excellent facilities alongside a collaborative teaching team.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence in mathematics.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Working Hours
- Monday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Tuesday – Thursday: 8:15am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:15am – 2:00pm
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed and reach their full potential.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A full 10-year career history
- Minimum of two professional references
- Legal right to work in the UK
