Duties for Technical Sales Engineer

• Manage technical and commercial enquiries across HVAC, ventilation, and odour control
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
• Develop suitable technical solutions with the design and engineering teams
• Select and size equipment and system components
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals
• Attend customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions
• Manage technical queries and commercial negotiations through to order
• Develop opportunities within the water and wastewater sectors
• Build and maintain customer relationships and identify new opportunities
• Maintain CRM records and support industry events and exhibitions

Qualifications & Experience for Technical Sales Engineer

• Mechanical or Process engineering background with a degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent experience
• Experience in technical sales, estimating, business development, or a similar engineering role
• Experience within HVAC, ventilation, water, wastewater, or a similar industrial environment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

Desirable

• HVAC design experience
• Knowledge of odour control systems, such as chemical scrubbers, biofilters, or activated carbon
• Experience working with water utilities, wastewater treatment works, or EfW facilities
• Knowledge of water industry standards and framework tendering
• Existing contacts within the water, wastewater, HVAC, or industrial ventilation sectors
