Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and VHC inspections across VAG models
- Execute complex mechanical and electrical repairs, including engine overhauls, timing belts/chains, clutches, and suspension systems
- Diagnose intricate vehicle faults using modern diagnostic systems (ODIS) and systematic root-cause analysis
- Carry out pre-MOT inspections and complete thorough vehicle prep work to high specialist standards
- Maintain clear electronic job records and ensure right-first-time quality control
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or VAG Specialist within a main dealer or independent garage environment
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent)
- Technical Capability: Strong diagnostic fault-finding talent, complete tool confidence, and high attention to detail
- Mindset: Quality-focused professional who takes genuine pride in clean craftsmanship
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
