We are working with a highly successful fashion business who are looking for a Garment Technologist / Product Developer to join their dynamic team on a part-time basis.
The Garment Technologist / Product Developer will work across multi-product Childrenswear, with experience working across Childrenswear and Babywear being highly advantageous.
The Garment Technologist / Product Developer will provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the fit, quality and construction of garments meet the required standards, whilst working closely with overseas factories throughout the development process.
- Measuring and inspecting samples.
- Attending fit sessions, making fit comments, and sending fit comments to overseas factories.
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal customer technologists.
- Conducting tests and analysing test reports.
- Creating size specifications.
- Liaising closely with factories overseas.
- Working closely with customers’ design and product development teams.
- Ensuring garments meet required fit, quality, and construction standards.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the development process.
- Supporting the development and fitting of garments using 3D technology, where required.
Additional Information
The Garment Technologist / Product Developer will ideally be able to adjust digital patterns and have previous experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of working across multi-product ranges.
Experience working across Childrenswear and Babywear would be highly beneficial, with a strong understanding of the specific fit, construction and technical requirements associated with these product areas.
Experience with 3D garment fittingwould also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and overseas suppliers.
This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week.
