Assistant Building Surveyor

We’re looking for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a growing team in Southampton, working across Defence, Blue Light, Education and Housing projects.

Projects range from £10k to £3m, giving you exposure to a varied workload across different sectors.

The Role

• Carry out building surveys, inspections and schedules.
• Provide building surveying and professional services.
• Work across multiple regional projects.
• Use JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Prepare technical documents, specifications and reports.
• Support senior team members with project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior staff where required.
• Work with clients and project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects.

About You

• BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS-accredited degree.
• Building surveying experience with good technical knowledge.
• Experience dealing with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of technical reports, specifications and surveys.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing your career.
