Economist

Economist | London | Up to £50k | Hybrid

I’m working with a UK regulator that is looking for an Economist to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an economist looking to work on contemporary economic issues within the utilities sector, while also contributing to the development and implementation of policy.

What you’ll need:

• A degree in Economics
• 2+ years’ experience working in a consultancy, regulator, or UK government body
• Experience conducting microeconomic analysis and assessing competition and regulatory matters
• Experience applying economic and policy frameworks and ensuring regulatory requirements are met
• Previous experience developing and implementing policy
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and deliver outcomes
• The ability to identify and analyse data to provide evidence-based insights and support decision-making
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship or need for sponsorship
