Costs Lawyer / Draftsman

Our client is seeking an experienced Costs Lawyer and Draftsman to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work with a respected legal practice, applying specialist knowledge in costs law and drafting to support clients through complex matters. The successful candidate will take on a central role in the costs practice, combining legal expertise with meticulous attention to detail.

• Specialise in costs law and drafting, handling matters from assessment through to resolution
• Work with a well-established legal practice that values technical expertise and client service

Preferred Requirements

• Qualified as a Costs Lawyer with proven experience in costs drafting and assessment
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules and costs law principles
• Ability to draft detailed costs schedules, bills of costs, and supporting documentation to a high standard
• Experience advising clients on costs implications and managing costs disputes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters with competing deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Costs Lawyer qualification (or equivalent recognised accreditation in costs law)
• Membership of the Association of Costs Lawyers or similar professional body
• Demonstrable experience working within a legal practice or costs consultancy
