Asbestos Lab Analyst and Quality Checker – Full-time, Permanent
The PA Group UK are a multidisciplinary, health and safety executive licensed asbestos removal and UKAS-accredited asbestos inspection and testing contractor based in Dartford, UK.
Main responsibilities/duties:
- Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.
- Preparing samples for analysis.
- Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.
- Reporting analytical findings.
- Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.
- Generating certificates of analysis and issuing to clients, and getting involved with other general laboratory and administrative duties.
- Quality checking asbestos survey reports.
Person Specification:
- The applicant must have attained the P401 qualification and, at the same time, must have significant experience working within this role in a laboratory/office environment and within the asbestos field. Awareness of the requirements of the second edition of HSG248 is desirable.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have good organisational and IT skills.
- Must have a full UK driving licence and vehicle due to location, or alternative means of transport.
- Experience in quality checking of asbestos survey reports is desirable but full training can also be provided.

Salary and benefits:
- Salary in excess of £27,000 Depending on experience
