Senior Marketing Executive

Company: Mediaworks
Apply for the Senior Marketing Executive
Location: Gateshead
Job Description:

As Senior Marketing Executive, you’ll play a key role in growing the Mediaworks business through content, campaigns, social, email, events and sector-led marketing.

You’ll turn our expertise, client work, research and proprietary thinking into useful content that builds authority, generates demand and creates commercial opportunities.

This is a hands‑on role for a marketer who can take ownership, manage multiple projects and work confidently with teams across Growth, Sales, Strategy, Creative, SEO, Paid Media, Development and Client Services.

What you’ll do

Content & thought leadership

  • Own the production of blogs, social content, emails, landing pages, case studies, reports, guides and whitepapers.
  • Turn agency expertise, sector insight and client work into clear, commercially relevant content.
  • Identify opportunities for new content and thought leadership across AI, search, digital experience, technology, performance and sector change.
  • Repurpose larger content into social posts, carousels, video scripts and sales materials.
  • Work with subject matter experts and designers to bring content to life.

Social & campaigns

  • Manage Mediaworks’ organic social activity, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Plan and deliver campaigns across priority sectors, services and commercial themes.
  • Activate campaigns across social, email, website content, events, webinars and targeted promotion.
  • Own the promotion of masterclasses and events from registration through to follow‑up and content.
  • Contribute to campaign messaging, creative and audience strategy.
  • Manage and improve website content across blogs, landing pages, sector and service pages.
  • Apply SEO and content optimisation, including page structure, headings, metadata, internal linking and CTAs.
  • Plan and deliver newsletters, campaign emails, nurture activity and event communications.
  • Support CRM management, segmentation and marketing automation.

Performance

  • Track and report on content, website, social, email and campaign performance.
  • Use data to identify opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain campaign tracking, including UTMs, attribution and lead capture.
  • Connect marketing activity to leads, opportunities and wider commercial performance.

What we’re looking for

You’re a commercially minded marketer who writes well, thinks strategically and gets things done.

You’ll have experience in a marketing, content, campaign, social or digital role and a good understanding of how marketing supports brand building, demand generation and new business.

You don’t need to be a specialist in every channel, but you should be confident taking ownership, managing stakeholders and learning quickly.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience creating and managing marketing content and campaigns.
  • Good understanding of B2B marketing, content, social, SEO and digital channels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of CRM, email marketing, websites and marketing performance.
  • Confidence using data to assess performance and improve activity.
  • Experience with tools such as Dynamics 365, GA4, LinkedIn, CMS, Mailchimp and project management platforms.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business, journalism or a related discipline is desirable.

What success looks like

You’ll help Mediaworks consistently produce high-quality marketing, grow visibility with the right audiences, improve campaign performance and generate opportunities for the wider business.

You’ll also embody our values:

  • Ambition: Set high standards and keep improving.
  • Impact: Focus on quality and commercial outcomes.
  • Innovation: Find better ways to create, distribute and measure marketing.
  • Connection: Build strong relationships and collaborate across the agency.
