The Special Needs Nursing Service (SNNS) provides care and support to children and young people with complex healthcare needs in specialist schools and community settings across Manchester.
The role involves supporting children and young people’s health, wellbeing and care needs, working alongside registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care. You will undertake delegated clinical and non-clinical tasks within your competence, maintain accurate electronic records, communicate effectively with families, carers, schools and healthcare professionals, and contribute to safeguarding by recognising and reporting concerns.
You will work independently when appropriate, seeking guidance when required, participate in training, supervision and team meetings, and demonstrate flexibility to meet service needs across different settings. You will promote a positive experience for children and families while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality and the Trust’s values.
Applicants should be motivated, compassionate and adaptable, able to travel across Manchester, and hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work.
