Goods-In Operative (Container Loading & Unloading)

Job Overview

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Goods-In Operatives to join our warehouse team. This role involves loading and unloading shipping containers, receiving goods, and ensuring stock is processed accurately and efficiently.

Please note: This is a physically demanding role. Candidates must be comfortable with manual handling, repetitive lifting, and being on their feet for the majority of the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Load outbound containers and vehicles according to operational requirements.
• Move, sort, and stack products within the warehouse.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies.
• Inspect goods for damage and notify supervisors of any issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support other warehouse activities as required.

Physical Requirements

This role involves:

• Regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Continuous standing, walking, bending, and stretching throughout the shift.
• Repetitive movements when unloading and sorting products.
• Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Handling goods of varying sizes and weights.

Candidates should be physically fit and capable of carrying out demanding manual work safely throughout their shift.

• Previous warehouse or goods-in experience is desirable but not essential.
