Senior Quantity Surveyor

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established residential housebuilder with the recruitment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the Role

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow, with travel to sites. Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of housing developments.
• Manage projects from initial procurement through to final account.
• Set, monitor and manage project budgets.
• Place subcontractor and supplier orders.
• Produce accurate commercial reports and cost forecasts.
• Monitor material costs and project expenditure.
• Liaise closely with subcontractors, site teams and other internal departments.
• Ensure commercial activity is completed in line with company procedures.
• Support and provide guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification such as a degree, HND or equivalent.
• RICS qualification or progress towards professional accreditation would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Required Skills

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Residential housebuilding experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial, budgeting and cost-management experience.

Preferred Skills

• RICS qualification or progress towards professional accreditation would be beneficial.

Pay range and compensation package
