Brightwork are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative and Forklift Truck Driver for our client in Glasgow. This position involves supporting day-to-day running of warehouse and multi-drop delivery operations.

This is a temporary role, initially for 3-4 weeks, with the view to move to permanent employment if successful. You will need a full UK Drivers Licence for this role with a maximum of 3 points.
Your Time at WorkDriving & DeliveriesDrive the company vehicle safely and compliantly to deliver and collect goods across the local area and beyond as requiredComplete all relevant driver documentation including tachograph records, daily walk-round checks and defect reportsEnsure the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy and presentable at all times; report any defects or maintenance requirements promptlyLiaise with customers professionally on delivery and collection, resolving any issues calmly and escalating where necessarySupport route planning to maximise efficiency and minimise delaysAssist with loading and unloading the vehicle, including use of pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment.Warehouse SupportPick, check and prepare customer orders for dispatch accurately and to scheduleAssist with booking in, unloading and checking incoming deliveriesReplenish stock and assist with regular stock takes as directed by the Operations ManagerMaintain warehouse tidiness, cleanliness and safe working practices at all timesSupport loading of vans and assist drivers with route preparation where neededCarry out any other reasonable warehouse duties as required by the Operations Manager.
Our Perfect WorkerEssential criteria:Clean or near-clean driving licenceGood time management and knowledge of relevant road and driver legislationPhysically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasksGood communication skills and willing to be flexible and support wider teamValid Forklift Licence
Desirable criteria:Valid Class 2 HGV LicenceValid Driver CPC QualificationDigital tachograph cardPrevious experience in a similar driving roleExperience of warehouse work or manual handling
