Consulting Director (Senior Vice President) – Logistics & Transportation (Performance Strategy & Transformation)

Location: UK (Hybrid) | Travel: Required (UK & International)

We’re proud to be partnering on an exclusive basis with our client a high-growth, global advisory firm supporting organisations across the logistics, transport, and infrastructure sectors during periods of complex change, performance pressure, and transformation.

This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist team operating at the sharp end of industry—delivering hands‑on solutions that drive measurable operational and financial impact.

The Opportunity

You’ll work directly with senior executives, PE-backed businesses, and leadership teams to:

  • Diagnose operational and financial performance challenges

  • Design and implement end‑to‑end transformation programmes

  • Improve supply chain, transport, and infrastructure performance

  • Support businesses through growth, restructuring, and turnaround scenarios

This is not purely advisory — delivery and execution are critical. You’ll be embedded in client environments where outcomes and tangible delivery really matter.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Immediate impact – projects where your work directly influences business performance

  • Breadth of exposure – from high‑performing organisations to underperforming or distressed environments

  • Hands‑on delivery – beyond strategy into implementation

  • High‑calibre peer group – working alongside some of the most talented operators and advisors in the consultancy world

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate a proven combination of both:

Management consulting experience (strategy, transformation, Insolvency, and or restructuring)

Candidates without both elements cannot be considered.

Key Experience Areas

  • Supply chain and transport optimisation

  • Operational improvement and cost reduction programmes

  • Private equity lifecycle exposure (diligence, value creation, exit)

  • Multi‑workstream project leadership in complex environments

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong analytical thinking and commercial judgement

  • Financial literacy with an ability to interpret and influence performance

  • Credibility with senior stakeholders (C‑suite / investors)

  • A track record of delivering implementation‑led outcomes

  • Excellent communication and executive and board level presentation skills

  • Passion for the logistics and transportation sector

Additional Requirements

  • Degree‑level education (MBA or Master’s advantageous)

  • Flexibility to travel, sometimes at short notice

  • Comfortable working across both client site and remote environments

  • Fluency in English (additional languages advantageous)

Why Explore This?

  • Work on high‑impact assignments where results are visible

  • Exposure to some of the most complex challenges in the sector

  • Strong platform for career acceleration within a growing practice
