In this role, you will manage a cross-border tax portfolio for US/UK clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services. You’ll lead workflow, coaching, and risk management within EY’s global tax team, shaping client outcomes through technical excellence. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with complex US and/or UK tax affairs, delivering excellent service and timely results
  • Plan and delegate work, overseeing end-to-end compliance processes
  • Lead billing processes and meet financial targets
  • Collaborate with Credit Control to ensure timely invoice payments
  • Review complex returns for accuracy and sign-off with senior management
  • Identify cross-disciplinary tax issues and coordinate with specialists
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and oversee staff development
  • Uphold EY risk management, quality, and client service standards
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operations

Key requirements

  • ATT qualification and US tax certification (Enrolled Agent or CPA)
  • Five+ years of professional practice experience at a similar level
  • Strong knowledge of US and UK tax compliance and advisory work
  • Experience delivering client service in person, by phone, and via email
  • Experience managing billing, reviewing returns, and supervising junior staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • People management experience and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
