Snr Clinical Psychologist LDS (Development Post)

Overview

In this role you will provide high‑quality psychological input to adults with learning disabilities, both directly and via supervision of colleagues. You will work within Conwy Community Learning Disability Team to support complex cases, deliver tailored therapies, and supervise or train others. The post offers autonomy and a pathway from Band 7 to Band 8a, with opportunities to shape services and contribute to team development and cross‑disciplinary work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect psychological input to service users and provide consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues
• Lead adapted talking therapies, behavioural and systems-based interventions, and bespoke formulations
• Conduct specialist assessments including Dementia and risk assessments
• Oversee service eligibility activities and contribute to trainee placements, teaching, and supervision of research projects
• Support team health and activity formulation, and collaborate with the Team Manager to deploy Psychology resources
• Provide supervision within the department and participate in flexible, short-notice meetings as needed

Key requirements

• Good Honours degree in Psychology; eligible for Chartered status with the BPS
• HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
• Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
• Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees
• Significant experience of qualified clinical psychology practice
