Overview

In this role you lead Fender’s social and content vision for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, shaping how content drives regional engagement and brand conversations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align local programs with global strategy, oversee creative treatments and partnerships, and remain hands-on with lightweight social formats when appropriate. You’ll identify cultural moments, grow communities, and steward a distinctive, authentic Fender voice across key markets. This is a fast-paced, creative, data-driven position that anchors Fender’s cultural relevance in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional social content strategy and ensure alignment with global brand direction and local goals
  • Own and evolve content storytelling, tone, and brand identity across all EMEA social channels
  • Write treatments and concepts, presenting to stakeholders for buy-in before production
  • Commission and direct external production partners; manage briefs, timelines, budgets, and quality control
  • Maintain hands-on, lightweight social content when valuable (e.g., DIY TikToks, Reels) while guiding larger productions
  • Create and execute local integrated campaigns with global and external partners
  • Proactively manage communities and foster a positive digital fandom
  • Lead social performance reporting, derive insights, and translate into actionable optimizations
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Artist Marketing, PR, and Paid Media on messaging and assets
  • Activate artist, creator, and influencer content with the Artist Marketing team
  • Localise content for each market to be culturally relevant
  • Identify and plan around cultural moments with the EMEA calendar for content-led initiatives
  • Maintain best practices for publishing, tagging, formatting, community management, and scheduling
  • Support broader marketing initiatives and ad-hoc projects as directed by EMEA Marketing Director

Key requirements

  • Proven experience leading social and content for a major brand or creative organization, across multiple markets or languages
  • Strong creative eye to develop concepts, write treatments, and direct creative direction for scroll-stopping content
  • Experience commissioning and directing external production, briefs, and budget management
  • Comfort with hands-on social content when needed (DIY formats for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Confident presenting ideas to stakeholders and securing alignment across teams
  • In-depth knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit
  • Experience with AI tools for ideation, scheduling, engagement, or analytics with a proactive testing mindset
  • Data-driven mindset with fluency in Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics
  • Track record of driving growth and engagement through campaigns that build brand affinity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to juggle multiple campaigns
