Overview

As a Quantitative Analyst in central London, you will transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights and robust quantitative models. You’ll collaborate with analysts, developers and other specialists to deliver data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will validate models, back-test against historical data and translate technical findings for stakeholders. This role combines deep analytical work with practical implementation to support strategic decisions and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends and insights
  • Develop and enhance quantitative and statistical models
  • Apply probability and statistics to real-world problems
  • Develop, test and validate analytical models and methodologies
  • Use programming languages to analyze data and build quantitative solutions
  • Collaborate with developers to implement models and solutions
  • Back-test models against historical data and assess performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve models, processes and techniques
  • Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key requirements

  • PhD or MSc in a highly quantitative discipline
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics and mathematical modelling
  • Experience with large datasets and detailed data analysis
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, C++ or Java
  • Experience in data science, quantitative analysis or statistical modelling
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical accuracy skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
