Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor with a leading Main Contractor, you will manage the commercial performance of the Wembley 54m student accommodation project. You’ll work within a skilled team to control costs, manage procurement, and safeguard value throughout the build. This established contractor operates across public and private sectors, offering exposure to diverse projects and long-term stability. You will be impactful by delivering cost certainty and robust commercial governance on a high-profile new build.

Responsibilities

• oversee commercial aspects of the 54m new build student accommodation project
• perform cost planning, estimating and value engineering to optimise spend
• procurement and subcontractor management, including payments and variations
• prepare and evaluate contract documents, bills of quantities, and financial reports
• monitor project budget, commercial risks and change management
• collaborate with project team to ensure alignment with programme and quality requirements

Key requirements

• Degree / HND qualified
• strong experience with a reputable Main Contractor
• track record on new build accommodation projects
• excellent all-round commercial skills
• able to commute to Wembley daily
