Overview

In this role you will provide strategic leadership for the claims function, focusing on profitable growth, customer experience, and regulatory compliance. You will lead a large team of claims professionals, drive performance through data insights, and shape processes to improve outcomes for customers and the business. You will collaborate across stakeholders to manage risks and deliver operational excellence with a focus on Motor Personal Injury and UK Casualty claims.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the claims function and embed company priorities into daily delivery
• Lead and develop a large team of claims adjusters and technicians to deliver high-quality service
• Use data and benchmarking to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain and improve technical and quality assurance standards in claims handling
• Improve operational efficiency by optimizing people, processes and technology
• Manage internal and external relationships to ensure compliance and effective service delivery
• Lead change initiatives and translate strategy into actionable priorities and outcomes
• Develop future capability across technical, data and customer-focused claims skills

Key requirements

• Significant claims leadership experience with Motor Personal Injury and UK Casualty claims knowledge
• Proven ability to lead a claims function and deliver strategic and operational objectives
• Experience building and motivating high-performing teams
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Solid data and MI capability to interpret trends and drive decisions
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements and risk management
