Job Description:
Overview
You will prepare and validate design/fabrication drawings for subsea steel structures, using Inventor and AutoCAD, and develop offshore installation sketches. You’ll collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure clash-free, compliant designs and assist with resolving construction/design issues. Your work includes self- and team-checking drawings and adhering to drawing office procedures. This role supports offshore/mechanical fabrication teams in delivering robust subsea solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design/fabrication drawings for subsea steel structures using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Create offshore installation method sketches and rigging drawings
- Coordinate with other disciplines to incorporate input and ensure clash-free designs
- Identify technical problems and propose practical solutions
- Perform self-checks and team checks on drawings/sketches
- Ensure drawings comply with company drawing office procedures
- Assist fabrication teams in resolving construction/design issues related to clashes and design problems
Key requirements
- Technical education related to mechanical, structural, or civil engineering
- Design and drafting experience for subsea steel structures in Marine/Oil & Gas
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and iLogic
- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD
- Ability to work in a multi-discipline design team across multiple projects
- Ability to prioritise, organise and meet management deadlines
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills in English
