Overview

As Lead UI/UX Designer at NaturalMotion, you shape the player experience for a mobile title by steering the end-to-end UX/UI vision. You lead a design team, guiding concepts through implementation in Unreal Engine and ensuring visuals, accessibility, and core gameplay alignment. You’ll iterate with data and live operations to keep the experience fresh at scale. This role offers a chance to mentor talent and influence live-service design across current and future projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX vision for Hacienda and future projects, reviewing wireframes and prototypes and presenting the vision to stakeholders
  • Oversee concept-to-implementation design quality, including Unreal Engine integration
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive, user-friendly designs
  • Use data and frequent testing to validate UX flows and drive ongoing improvements in development and live ops
  • Develop and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices for the team
  • Stay updated with industry trends and integrate new design techniques and tools
  • Provide strong leadership, creativity, and expertise in UX/UI principles
  • Lead and mentor internal and external UI/UX designers, supporting career development and performance reviews

Key requirements

  • Shipped titles with mobile live-ops experience
  • Experience in mobile development supporting live-ops, rapid iteration, and agile delivery
  • Proven track record in live-service design for a large player community
  • Deep mastery of design systems, workflows, and processes
