Area Manager – Turkey Agriculture

Overview

As Turkey Area Manager, you lead and develop performance across company, rented, and grower farms in Turkey Agriculture. You’ll drive welfare, food safety, biosecurity, and environmental standards while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to champion continuous improvement. You’ll act as a values-driven ambassador and use data and feedback to prioritise improvement across the farms. This role offers scope to shape farm operations, people development, and cross-functional collaboration within a growing agriculture business.

Responsibilities

• Manage, enhance and grow relationships with company, rented and grower farms; provide accountability
• Act as ambassador for values and priorities with stakeholders
• Support compliant operation of farms in partnership with owners and teams
• Provide and facilitate technical support using internal and external resources
• Share insights with internal stakeholders on technical trends and compliance
• Ensure on-farm production meets animal welfare, food safety, and environmental standards
• Communicate with departments to enable joined-up decision making
• Prioritise activity using data and performance insights to target improvements
• Support health and safety, food safety, and policy adherence
• Contribute to a positive learning culture by identifying development needs and enabling capability

Key requirements

• Strong poultry husbandry experience and relevant farming background
• Up-to-date knowledge of animal welfare, housing, equipment, feed, ventilation, and bird health
• Previous management experience and commitment to developing others
• Audits knowledge is advantageous; training available for the right candidate
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and build relationships
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritise workload
• Confidence using data and operational insight to drive improvement
• Flexible approach to weekend, night-time or seasonal work
