Civil & Structural Engineer

Overview

As Civil & Structural Engineer you will lead design solutions for clean water and wastewater infrastructure and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. You’ll progress feasibility, optioneering and detailed design, integrating outputs into digital models. You will manage projects through all lifecycle stages, ensuring safety, value and compliance. This role supports Anglian Water through the @one Alliance, delivering a major investment in vital infrastructure with a focus on sustainable, cost-efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design solutions for water and wastewater projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• Carry out feasibility studies, optioneering, and detailed design with clear sketches and digital model integration
• Assist in preparing proposals, scopes, programmes and budgets, applying risk management including Design Risk Assessments
• Ensure compliance with DSEAR and prepare construction and health & safety documentation; address technical queries with emphasis on safety and cost efficiency
• Manage projects through feasibility, design and construction to meet standards, budgets and schedules

Key requirements

• BEng or MEng/MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience performing structural calculations for concrete structures
• Experience designing civil engineering structures in water and wastewater sectors
• Experience producing technical sketches for cross-disciplinary collaboration
